Papyrus Emergency Fundraiser
For the first time in their 28-year history, Papyrus have launched an emergency appeal to address unprecedented financial pressures. Papyrus run a 24 hour helpline for young people experiencing suicidal thoughts. Every three minutes, young people—including children as young as seven—reach out to HOPELINE247 in distress, struggling with thoughts of suicide.Rising costs, a sharp decline in donations across the charity sector, and an unprecedented increase in demand for services have brought them to a critical moment. Without urgent support, they may have to make the devastating decision to cut back our services. Since extending the HOPELINE247 service to operate 24/7 in 2023, they have seen the number of contacts skyrocket. Now, this vital service is at risk, and young people may no longer have access to support through the night.Donate here.
